The only downside was that my rented violin didn't come with a shoulder rest, and no one made an effort to help me find one. Luckily the receptionnist was kind enough to let me borrow one from the shop when I asked.

Wonderful center to learn about Celtic Music. Tour the museum to learn the history. Have lunch in the Cafe and listen to Live Celtic Music. Wonderful!

A relatively small venue that features ongoing music and cultural events, sometimes including food. There is also an interesting gift shop featuring local music books, recordings and Cape Breton arts and crafts. It is good to look this place up online for current event listings.

I spent a day here during the Buddy McMaster fiddle camp. The lunch ceilidh was fun, and the food was delicious. I loved the variety of sheet music, recordings and accessories at the gift shop.

Stopped by for lunch and live music on our way out of Cape Breton. It was a great stop. The food was perfect and the entertainment was JUST what we were looking for. I would highly recommend you stop here for lunch heading north or south.

Stopped here for lunch and ceildih entertainment. Was not disappointed in either. Meal was light and delicious, salad with goat cheese, cranberries, walnuts and delicious dressing and also fish cakes and beans (only negative was they tasted like canned maple beans vs home made). Fiddle, piano and step dancing entertainment was wonderful. Lovely gift shop on site, clean washrooms. Great cultural spot. We'd stop again.
